background

Immerscio.bio, a training platform created by 4 pharmaceutical leaders (bioMérieux, Novasep, Sanofi, and Servier) wants to add to its catalog the handling of pharmaceutical products stored in cryogenic containers. The educational goals of the module are:

  • Choosing the right ones safety equipment,
  • Mastering extraction of product in a refrigerated environment,
  • And avoid hazards linked to these manipulations.

The purpose of the serious game in virtual reality is to be fun, realistic, and immersive.

Solution

Conseil 3D has developed a module for 30 minutes of VR training for Meta Quest 2 and 3 headsets including:

  • One Theoretical course integrated into the environment involving liquid nitrogen, dry ice, and risks linked to their manipulation
  • One put into practice with a packaging stage (EPIs), an advanced simulation of the physics of the containers, the products handled, the sensors and alarms present in the dedicated rooms
  • A phase of Final challenge timed, fun and designed according to the codes and principles of video games
  • A virtual companion to guide the learner and reinforce storytelling
  • A 3D environment, visual effects, animations, and sounds realistic to reinforce immersion

Result

The module not only achieved the educational goals fixed, but has been applauded by the Immerscio.bio team for its design and implementation: out of the dozens of other platform training courses carried out by various companies, it is presented as one of examples to follow for the production of VR modules.
